Legitimacy is not the same as perfection
A provider can be legitimate and still have poor service, unhappy customers, weak value, or disputed marketing. Our first test is narrower: does independent or regulator-linked evidence establish that this is a real education business offering real training?

Key point
Calling a provider “not legitimate” is a much stronger claim than saying its course is overpriced or its support is poor. Where government-regulated qualifications or independently verifiable accreditation exist, the evidence should be addressed directly. Where large companies that have been shown to be independent display multiple reviews of a company and its work, these help show that service is indeed legitimate.
Ironically, what seems far from legitimate is a company purporting to be legitimate when the evidence suggests it may be the one that struggles to prove its own legitimacy: is TEFLonlinePro legit? Is TrustedTEFLreviews.com legit? Is ACTEFLC legit? Where else have these companies been reviewed (or even mentioned!) except on their own websites?
